Rafting in Montenegro National Park 

 

Spectacular river Tara is considered the deepest canyon in Europe and second deepest in the world, second only to Grand Canyon.   A driving distance from Kotor, you may choose to experience its beauty first hand and add a true adventure to your vacation, while escaping summer heat for a day.  

Overview:
 

Full day excursion for unforgetable rafting adventure.

 

We are now offering you a phenomenal opportunity to explore the beautiful river Tara and enjoy scenic drive from Kotor to northern Montenegro for a memory that will be a highlight of your vacation.

 

You will cover the distance of approximately 20km, and raft 21 rapids in the lower and most thrilling part of the river Tara.

 

The entire excursion, with transfers, is approximately 12hrs

Itinerary:

 

3hr - 7:30am meeting time in Kotor followed by a scenic 3hr drive to Scepan Polje, where rivers Tara and Piva unite to form river Drina.

 

45min - At Scepan Polje, you will transfer to 4x4 vehicle and after a shorter ride arrive at a beautiful camp, the start point of your rafting adventure

 

1hr -  full breakfast and time to relax before you select size appropriate rafting gear (wet suit, boots, life jacket, helmet) 

 

3-4hr - rafting adventure with photo breaks, swimming and a stop by the coldest Tara's tributary, Sipcanica creek

 

1.5hr  - opportunity to shower followed by a hearty meal (lamb, veal or river trout)

 

3hr - drive back to Kotor and again enjoy beautiful scenery of Piva canyon and Piva lake along the way

PRICE:  €150 per person, minimum 2 people

 

INCLUDED in price:  all transfers with a driver, rafting and accompanying gear certified rafting guide, breakfast, lunch, rafting tax and accident insurance

 

PLEASE  BRING: passport or driving licence, light and comfortable clothes for the day, comfortable shoes, bathing suit to wear under the neoprene wetsuit, sunscreen, sunglasses, camera (all rafts have a couple of waterproof protective bags), towel, lighter jacket or warm long sleeve shirt, and additional money for drinks at Sipcanica creek
